My son was born in the USA, my family are US citizens, we lived in the USA and, whilst I have visited California numerous times, we had never visited this most famous of American states as a family.

Two weddings in 2022 changed that. The first I went to with my wife and we based ourselves in Santa Monica, using public transport, taxis and friends to get around Los Angeles, Malibu and Topanga Canyon.

The second wedding we went to as a family, and we hired a car so we could show our two youngest around California. This is where we went and what we saw.
